Reed & Mikado Diffusers

Making the most of a reed diffuser

Reed diffusers are a great way to add continuous fragrance to your home without the need for a flame. Here are some tips to get the most out of your reed diffuser:

  1. Placement Matters: Position your reed diffuser in a high-traffic small area where the air circulates well. This helps distribute the fragrance more effectively throughout the room. Avoid placing it near direct sunlight or heat sources, as this can dry out the reeds and evaporate the oil faster.

  2. Choose the Right Oil: Use high-quality, alcohol-free fragrance oils. They last longer and provide a more consistent scent. fragrance oils are a natural option, but ensure they are properly diluted to avoid clogging the reeds.

  3. Flip the Reeds: Every few days, flip the reeds to refresh the scent and ensure an even distribution. Be careful not to drip any oil on surfaces when flipping, as it can stain.

  4. Quantity of Reeds: Adjust the number of reeds based on your room size and the desired strength of the fragrance. More reeds mean a stronger scent, while fewer reeds will provide a subtler aroma.

  5. Choosing the correct Reeds: In our experience fibre reeds give the best scent throw, so choosing the correct type of reed is vital.

  6. Choosing the correct base: As all bases react differently that means that the base is as important as the fragrance oil.

  7. Testing your Mikado reed diffusers: As each fragrance oil can react differently it is very important to test each oil before bringing it to sale, you then can give your customer an accurate indication of how long they can expect their mikados to last.

  8. Educating your customers: It is important to educate your customer on how to use their reed diffusers and what kind of spaces they are suitable for, if for example you

Enjoy the ambient aroma and the aesthetic appeal that reed diffusers bring to your space! 🌿✨ If you have any specific questions or need recommendations on oils, feel free to ask.
